The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/extension.wsu.edu\/spokane\/master-gardener-program\/\" target=\"_blank\">Spokane County Master Gardener Program<\/a>\u00a0is returning \u2013 this time\u00a0with an informational display on beneficial insects and pollinators. If your home garden isn&#8217;t producing like it should, it might be because you aren&#8217;t attracting\u00a0the right bugs! Along with dispensing wisdom on how you can cultivate a green thumb of your own, the master gardeners are planning to hand out\u00a0some kid-friendly materials on beneficial insects and pollinators.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/spokanehealth\/\" data-hovercard=\"\/ajax\/hovercard\/page.php?id=137227062988774&amp;extragetparams=%7B%22directed_target_id%22%3A1806034499625243%7D\">Spokane Regional Health District<\/a>\u00a0is also scheduled to hold a WIC (FMNP) distribution at today&#8217;s market. WIC clients, please come down to the market and sign up for these vouchers that give you cash value toward fresh fruit and veg!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Today&#8217;s free KERNEL kids&#8217; activity is &#8220;Write Your Own Food Story.&#8221; Our KERNEL volunteers will help your kids\u00a0write an illustrate a fun, food-related story \u2013 no matter whether it&#8217;s based on real life or drawn\u00a0from their\u00a0imagination. As with all KERNEL activities, every child\u00a0will get $2 in KERNEL cash for spending on our vendors&#8217; fresh fruit and veggies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The winners of our cookbook\u00a0raffle for <em><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2aQP3Au\" target=\"_blank\">Good and Cheap: Eat Well on $4\/Day<\/a><\/em>\u00a0were drawn last week. It&#8217;d be a shame to have no background music on such a lovely market day.<\/p>\n<p>Jesus Guerrero has been out in his orchards since early this morning picking certified organic peaches to bring to market.
